Double Oscar winning composer A.R.Rahman has hit the headline again by releasing a 19 minute single titled "The Flying Lotus" a track on demonetization, the anniversary of which is around the corner.
Demonetization is widely seen as many revolutionary step to bust black money in the country and it had its share of critics too.
However, the composer who has a pulse on the common man’s feelings said that “historic moments like demonetization should be immortalized artistically and this is one such venture, on the occasion of the first anniversary of the demonetization drive is around on November 8”.
"Like the fifth symphony of Beethoven, my song too has a symbolic significance and it is open to interpretation by one and all", AR Rahman said.
In this song my voice is common man’s voice said the composer adding that "there is no politics in it".
"After all demonization of high denomination currency notes was a big moment for India and there is no politics in it", said AR Rahman who had travelled economy class to read the minds of common man on demonetization.
